  • This module looks at the formal law-making mechanism through Parliament, as well as the influences on the law and the role of the judiciary and the courts in the law-making process

  • This is the synoptic paper. You will need to use your knowledge of legal processes and institutions and substantive law to debate and evaluate the follow issues:

    1. Law and Morality
    2. Law and Justice
    3. Balancing conflicting interests
    4. Fault
    5. Judicial creativity

    The paper is one hour long and you are required to write two essays out of a choice of 4 questions.

    Candidates are expected to relate their knowledge of legal processes,

    institutions and substantive law, gained in study in any of the

    modules, to the following concepts:

  • Making the Law

  • This section gives you all the resources and links for AS Law Module 3 - Tort of Negligence

  • You should get yourself familiar with answering these questions, using the mark scheme and Examiner's Reports.
